Most applications of carbide are to increase durability. However, there are instances where an increase in friction is desired. For these instances, we have a unique solution.
Coating Pay Off Reels, Bridal Rolls and Expanding Mandrels with Carbinite’s textured coating gives both an increase in wear characteristics as well as an increase in the coefficient of friction, allowing you more up-time. Thermal sprays have been used in the past but do not give a true metallurgical bond. Carbinite is the only carbide product with these performance and wear characteristics.
