Yes, Carbinite can be applied to some aluminum alloys such as 6061 and 7075. Due to the vast differences in melting point between aluminum and carbide, the bond is not as strong as the bond that we can get on steel. We have many customers that had Carbinite applied to machinable aluminum vise jaws with great results.
