Carbinite Performance Test - Chick MQL Step Jaws:
Chick Workholding Test
This test shows the force needed (in lbs) to cause slippage of the component as it relates to the amount of clamping torque. As you can see there is an average of 95.24% additional force needed across the board to move the part clamped with Carbinite coated jaws!!! These tests were preformed with a Chick MQL 1040 Snap Jaw (1/4” step), with a Carbinite #3 (60 grit equivallent) coating on the clamping surface.

Vise (Workholding):
Chick MQL 1040

Step Jaws:
Snap Jaw 1/4" Step

Carbinite Grade:
#3 (60 grit equivalent)

Specimen Material:
7075-T6 Aluminum

Average Percentage Increase: 95.24%
